Here at the College of West Anglia (Isle Campus) we offer a range of stimulating degree courses in partnership with Anglia Ruskin University. Motorsport Engineering is the perfect start for those wishing to pursue a career in the motorsport industry.
The course takes a hands-on and real world approach. You will get the chance to attend race events, support competing racing cars, as well as develop your skills in our state-of-the-art workshops.
The College even has its own race team that competes in the Formula Ford National Championship — which gives many racing drivers their first step into car racing after karting. Working closely with employers and other race teams ensures you gain all the experience and skills needed to prepare you to succeed in the motorsport industry.
Course Leader Chris Middleton says “We cover a range of traditional engineering subjects in the classroom and workshops to ensure the progression onto the universitiy’s degree programme. At the track we cover full race preparation and support through a full national race weekend, the learners will benefit greatly from this experience.”
The College also has a variety of full and part time courses on offer in conjunction with Anglia Ruskin University including Veterinary Nursing, Equine Science with Rehabilitation Therapy, Applied Animal Science, Business Management and Early Childhood Studies.
Under this partnership, The College of West Anglia’s higher education courses are validated by Anglia Ruskin University and, as well as the use of the college’s range of specialist facilities, you will also have full access to the resources and services available at Anglia Ruskin’s campuses in Cambridge and Chelmsford, which have seen an investment of £81million over the last five years.
