• It’s safe: the UK construction industry is the safest in Europe, with worker’s health and safety top priority. Noise, dust, dirt and dangerous materials are all very carefully controlled
• It’s never dull: there’s a great variety of jobs in construction. It’s a modern industry with design, digital and sustainability focused office-based jobs, as well as craft-based roles on clean sites
• It’s great for girls: nearly 300,000 women work in construction in the UK – in both professional and site-based roles, and loads more are joining all the time
• You can earn good money: there’s great opportunities for successful, well paid careers
• It’s green: sustainability is a big focus for our industry. Today’s buildings are all designed to be environmentally friendly and have a positive impact on the communities that use them
